The body is said to respond with measurable changes. The device analyzes these reactions and creates reports from which the identification of \u201estressors\u201c such as: Organs, muscles, bones, heavy metals, bacteria, parasites, viruses, electromagnetic fields, chemicals, allergens, food. It is intended to identify \u201ebiomarkers\u201c. Sends frequencies to the body and analyzes \u201ebiological preferences\u201c.<br>Creates personalized reports on \u201eunresolved biomarkers\u201c and recommends specific essential oils, shows which products the body \u201eneeds\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on <a href=\"https:\/\/itovi.com\/compare-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Software plan<\/a> more or less detailed reports are generated: \u201eThe iTOVi scanner sends the electrical signatures of essential oils and food supplements to your body. Your reaction is recorded at that moment and compared with your individual electrical signature. You then receive a report from the iTOVi with the products to which you react best.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201escientific\u201c side is provided by iTOVi <a href=\"https:\/\/itovi.com\/how-the-itovi-scanner-technology-works\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> described.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wissenschaft_%E2%80%93_Fakt_oder_Fake\"><\/span>Science - fact or fake?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is claimed (link above under <em>here<\/em>) e.g. \u201eEach essential oil product has a unique electrical frequency that can be mimicked by radio frequencies. iTOVi uses these radio frequencies as stimuli for a GSR scan.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Radio frequencies are frequencies between 30 kHz and 300 GHz. However, vibrations of molecules (as contained in the organism, food, food supplements, care products and essential oils) are found in the much higher infrared range at 2700 to 4000 cm-\u00b9, corresponding to 81 - 120 THz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The detection of such short wavelengths is possible by means of <em>THz-Time-Domain-Spectroscopy<\/em> (THz-TDS) for time-resolved measurements or the conventional <em>Fourier transform THz spectroscopy<\/em> (FTIR), or. <br><strong>Laser-based spectroscopy, such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Frequenz-Kombination&amp;mstk=AUtExfD7NkssjDOLuN-D_1EOjmBLPSB4xTIkg0vno9_ZFg6OBoPrjvaQIN3Znhzzg4-D2FMsuCziEHOdUDfDFrpauWP0Njk9Qeu-QTaTVQphoYyLZ4p3RbT_JpzhCxaHl3nqTqc&amp;csui=3&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiK96fOs7SRAxVy0gIHHWu3DkMQgK4QegQIBBAF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frequency combination<\/a>\u00a0(Frequency Combs):<\/strong>\u00a0High-precision lasers with an extremely narrow but continuous spectrum can generate and measure frequencies in the THz range either directly or through mixing processes (mixing diodes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Infrarot-Laserspektroskopie&amp;mstk=AUtExfD7NkssjDOLuN-D_1EOjmBLPSB4xTIkg0vno9_ZFg6OBoPrjvaQIN3Znhzzg4-D2FMsuCziEHOdUDfDFrpauWP0Njk9Qeu-QTaTVQphoYyLZ4p3RbT_JpzhCxaHl3nqTqc&amp;csui=3&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiK96fOs7SRAxVy0gIHHWu3DkMQgK4QegQIBBAH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Infrared laser spectroscopy<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0Highly sensitive diode lasers or free-electron lasers (FELs) can excite and detect specific molecular transitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Raman-Spektroskopie&amp;mstk=AUtExfD7NkssjDOLuN-D_1EOjmBLPSB4xTIkg0vno9_ZFg6OBoPrjvaQIN3Znhzzg4-D2FMsuCziEHOdUDfDFrpauWP0Njk9Qeu-QTaTVQphoYyLZ4p3RbT_JpzhCxaHl3nqTqc&amp;csui=3&amp;ved=2ahUKEwiK96fOs7SRAxVy0gIHHWu3DkMQgK4QegQIBBAJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Raman spectroscopy<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0While Raman scattering often uses visible or near-IR lasers, it can also detect vibrational frequencies in the THz range (as rotational bands) by analyzing Stokes and anti-Stokes scattering.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This measurement technology requires high-precision laboratory equipment and does not measure a single wave, as is known from other high-frequency technology, but records the interaction of molecules with photons, which represent those vibrations and rotations.<br>Depending on the scope of services and equipment, the acquisition costs are between 30,000 and 150,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that the \u201emovement\u201c of the molecules is known, but not the claimed relationships in relation to \u201ebiomarkers\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biomarkers are according to FDA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/drugs\/biomarker-qualification-program\/about-biomarkers-and-qualification\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">defined<\/a> as objectively measurable, reproducible and scientifically validated, e.g. by laboratory tests (blood, urine, tissue), imaging procedures or physiological measurements. This does not include skin resistance measurements as carried out by the above-mentioned devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Schweigen_im_Walde\"><\/span>Silence in the forest<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Inquiries via contact form and e-mail were not answered by ZYTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>iTOVi referred to its website content. After specifying the questions, the support team contacted the founder and CEO <a href=\"mailto:cy@itovi.com\">Cy Tidwell<\/a> who, however, did not reply either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%A6_begrundet\"><\/span>... justified?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ball started rolling when NutriMost, LLC, released a NutriMost weight loss program developed by Ray Wisniewski, D.C., which included the ZYTO Hand Cradle and associated software as a central component. <a href=\"http:\/\/Die ZYTO-Technologie wurde als &quot;Zellbiokommunikationstechnologie&quot; beworben, um den K\u00f6rper zu &quot;h\u00f6ren&quot; und herauszufinden, welche Supplements und in welcher Menge der K\u00f6rper biologisch bevorzugt.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">used<\/a>, to \u201e<em>galvanic skin response\u201c and the data collected was analyzed by proprietary software to create personalized nutrition and supplement recommendations.<\/em>\u201e, and \u201e<em>The ZYTO technology was advertised as a \u201ecell biocommunication technology\u201c to \u201elisten\u201c to the body and find out which supplements and in what quantity the body biologically prefers.<\/em>\u201e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of 2014, the FDA inspected ZYTO for the first time and on 11.06.2015 issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/ZYTO-08_05_2015_Warning_Letter_-FDA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Warning letter<\/a> to ZYTO pointing out that the software associated with the device required 510(k) clearance, which was not obtained. Despite repeated meetings in August 2015, ZYTO continued to distribute the software as a unit with the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ZYTO Hand Cradle GSR was approved under K111308 for the measurement of galvanic skin reactions only. Despite prior notice from the FDA in the 2015 Warning Letter, the company reinstated the application of the ZYTO Hand Cradle GSR for the diagnosis of diseases or conditions.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthwellness.net\/zyto-scan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>u.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ZYTO website conveyed that the system first scans for general categories of \u201ebiomarkers,\u201c which could be specific body sites or anatomies such as organs, muscles or bones, followed by a subset of virtual \u201estressor\u201c items, including heavy metals, bacteria, parasites, viruses, electromagnetic fields, chemicals, allergens, lifestyle choices and foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2017, NutriMost, LLC discontinued the ZYTO device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During an inspection in December 2022, the FDA found that ZYTO complied with the required policies and procedures under the <em>Quality System Regulation<\/em> and performed certain verifications and validations on the product without the required testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FDA asked ZYTO to immediately stop marketing the product and its accessories. Failure to comply could result in regulatory action, including seizure, injunctions and civil monetary penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 21.06.2023, another <a href=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/ZYTO-Technologies-Inc.-652316-06_21_2023-_-FDA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Warning letter<\/a> issued to ZYTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Uber_100_Studien\"><\/span>Over 100 studies?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ZYTO provides the following link on its website <a href=\"https:\/\/zyto.com\/bibliography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bibliography<\/a> under which a total of four sections (tabs) can be found, under which studies are listed that are intended to present the \u2018Scientific basis of the ZYTO technology\u201e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Galvanic skin reaction (GSR) - Sources 1 ... 42<br>show that GSR\u00a0<strong>Emotional arousal and stress<\/strong>\u00a0(Boucsein 1992, Dawson 1990) can be measured<br>Applications consequently stress detection, biofeedback for epilepsy, lie detector<br>GSR varies with skin moisture, pressure and temperature and can be simulated with any resistance meter (ohmmeter).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perception reframing - Sources 1 ... 36<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biological energy fields - Sources 1 ... 27<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transdermal Optical Imaging (TOI) - Sources 1 .. 9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>None of the sources even begin to confirm ZYTO's claimed \u201ebiomarker\u201c recognition for organs, product recommendations through \u201ebiological coherence\u201c or diagnostic capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A study conducted by Dr. Stephen Barrett <a href=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Barrett-Studie_ms114_p0238.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a>, from July \/ August 2017, published on <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC6140073\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMC<\/a> and Missouri Medicine, came up with the following results from his 43 self-tests conducted over 10 days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. organ scans (16 basic scans):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Average of 69 \u201ebiomarkers out of range\u201c (SD: 31.9)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wildest inconsistency:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gallbladder was displayed 4x positive, 4x negative, 8x normal -\u00a0<strong>even though Barrett no longer has a gall bladder!<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prostate was 7x positive, 4x negative, 4x normal, 1x not shown at all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cohen's Kappa: 0.02<\/strong>\u00a0(= almost random)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. nutrition tests (27 tests):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pineapple: 7x \u201etop negative food\u201c, 3x \u201etop positive food\u201c<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red potatoes: 7x negative, 3x positive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A test recommended\u00a0<strong>ONLY sugar \/ sweetener<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A test recommended,\u00a0<strong>all fruit, vegetables and cereals<\/strong>\u00a0to avoid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. product recommendations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Average of 5.3 products per scan (SD: 2.6)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Completely different products<\/strong>\u00a0with every test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>... to the conclusion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>There is no scientific evidence or logical reason to<br>believe that galvanic skin response testing can determine a<br>person's health status or strategies for health improvement.<br>All such devices and associated software that are used for<br>these purposes should have their FDA 510(k) clearance<br>revoked and be removed from the marketplace.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Das_Kleingedruckte_AGBs\"><\/span>The small print (AGBs)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/zyto.com\/5-0-terms-and-conditions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GTC<\/a> from ZYTO should be studied carefully before considering a purchase, because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. exclusion of the right of withdrawal<\/strong> <br>    The \u201eReturn Policy\u201c section states: \u201eNO RETURN AND NO REFUND POLICY AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL\u201c.<br>    This applies to distance selling transactions (online purchases) with consumers in Germany. <strong>ineffective<\/strong>.<br>    The right of withdrawal according to \u00a7\u00a7 <a href=\"https:\/\/dejure.org\/gesetze\/BGB\/312g.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">312g<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dejure.org\/gesetze\/BGB\/355.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">355<\/a> BGB is mandatory consumer protection law <br>    and cannot be effectively excluded - unless one of the statutory exceptions applies <br>    (e.g. goods manufactured according to customer specifications, unsealed hygiene products).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. clauses inadmissible under GTC law<\/strong> <br>    Several clauses violate German AGB law (\u00a7\u00a7 <a href=\"https:\/\/dejure.org\/gesetze\/BGB\/305.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">305<\/a> ff.
