including for mobile homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to many providers from the Far East, it stands out <em>Victron<\/em> through a solid wealth of experience and the associated high reliability of its products. As expected, the price range is therefore correspondingly higher, but with a good price-performance ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The product <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.de\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/cerbo-gx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cerbo GX<\/a> is the central unit to which all other peripherals are connected. Communication between the individual devices takes place via VE.direct and CAN bus, but not via Bluetooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, all Bluetooth-supporting devices can be addressed and administered via iOS \/ Android app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is also an online VRM portal through which the installation can be accessed provided there is an internet connection.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Victron_%E2%80%93_Cerbo_GX\"><\/span>Victron \u2013 Cerbo GX<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The central unit Cerbo GX should be mounted largely centrally in relation to the rest of the equipment in order to keep the cable routes as short as possible. A LAN cable should also be available, as well as a 12 V DC supply.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" src=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/CERBO-GX-300x201.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/CERBO-GX-300x201.png 300w, https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/CERBO-GX.png 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cerbo GX<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the three VE.direct connections are quickly occupied due to the number of devices to be connected, a DC power supply is required <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/B0096XW86Q\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">USB 3.0 4-port hub<\/a> Helpful in a practical screw-on metal housing. At these you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/B01LZ6WTLW\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Victron USB interface cable<\/a> connected, the other end of which has a VE.direct connection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"GPS\"><\/span>GPS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Victron supports the protocol <em>NMEA 0183<\/em> and thus the <em>GlobalSat G-Star IV USB GPS antenna BU353S4<\/em>. This in turn receives signals from <em>Galileo (EU - 32 satellites), Beidou<\/em> (CN - 40 satellites <em>Beidou 3<\/em>) and <em>GLONASS<\/em> (RF - 24 satellites) and is plug-and-play capable<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connected to one of the free USB ports, the antenna receives the visible satellites after a few seconds. As soon as data has been received from at least three satellites, the built-in LED starts to flash to indicate that a valid position is available (fixed). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <em>Settings<\/em> can be found under the entry <em>GPS<\/em> If the GPS antenna is connected and recognized by the system, the status message <kbd>GPS OK (fixed)<\/kbd>including the position, speed, direction, geographical altitude and the number of satellites currently being received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The position will be <em>Dashboard<\/em> of the respective installation. Under the menu item <em>Advanced<\/em> a full-screen map display is possible by clicking on the full-screen symbol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, the vehicle with the corresponding Victron installation can be localized - free of charge - in real time via any browser anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"GPS_%E2%80%93_Geofence\"><\/span>GPS - Geofence<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the menu item <em>Settings<\/em> there is the possibility <em>Geofencing<\/em> to activate it. On the map display, you can, for example, click on the <em>Circle symbol<\/em> a radius around the location can be defined at the top left-hand edge of the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To do this, move the cursor, now displayed as a crosshair, to the vehicle position, click and then draw a radius up to the movement limit to be monitored, which is defined by clicking again. A circle with a gray background indicates the monitored area. Click on <em>Save<\/em> saves the geofence,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Victron_-GX_Touch_70\"><\/span>Victron-GX Touch 70<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.victronenergy.de\/panel-systems-remote-monitoring\/gx-touch-50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7\u2033 large touchscreen<\/a> is used to visualize the recorded data, as well as to set all parameters, both the connected devices and the WLAN\/network configuration, as well as other menu items.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"481\" src=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GX-Touch-50_nw.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GX-Touch-50_nw.png 720w, https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GX-Touch-50_nw-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">GX Touch 70 (Pages view)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When using an inverter, e.g. the Victron MultiPlus-II, in the <em>Settings \u2013 System setup<\/em> to display the AC input parameters the menu item <em>AC input 1<\/em> on <kbd>Grid<\/kbd> deliver.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Victron_%E2%80%93_MPPT-Regler\"><\/span>Victron \u2013 MPPT controller<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/Victron-SmartSolar-Laderegler-SCC110050210-Solarladeregler\/dp\/B073ZJ43L1\/ref=sr_1_2?crid=XYN2YTMYJDHX&amp;keywords=victron+mppt+100%2F50&amp;qid=1662923441&amp;sprefix=victron+mppt%2Caps%2C140&amp;sr=8-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MPPT controller<\/a> converts the voltage supplied by the connected solar panels into a suitable battery charging voltage.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" src=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MPPT-300x234.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MPPT-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MPPT.png 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">MPPT Solar Regulator \u2013 100V 50A<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the number of panels installed, it may be advisable to install two MPPT controllers if necessary. On the one hand, solar power is still available in the event of a controller failure, and on the other hand, shading losses are lower.<br>Although the MPPT controllers have appropriate management facilities that largely compensate for partial shading, the efficiency is of course higher if no compensation is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data exchange between MPPT controllers and the Cerbo GX takes place via <em>VE.direct<\/em>.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Victron_%E2%80%93_Wechselrichter\"><\/span>Victron \u2013 inverter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The purpose of a PV system is not primarily the desire for DC availability, but rather the quickly emerging need to have 230V AC available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the appropriate power from suitable batteries (LiFePo4), up to 3 kW AC can be generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/B096SMP22H\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Victron Energy MultiPlus II<\/a> offers a pure sine wave inverter with a DC supply voltage of only 12 V, with a switching time of less than 20 ms*, making it suitable for uninterrupted computer operation. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"794\" src=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MultiPlus-II_nw.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MultiPlus-II_nw.png 720w, https:\/\/csiag.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/MultiPlus-II_nw-272x300.png 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">MultiPlus-II inverter, battery charger and UPS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The integrated PowerAssist technology helps with weak AC networks on campsites by increasing the mains voltage to the normal 230V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A battery charger is also installed and a UPS function* is implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All in all, the inverter is almost a jack of all trades, which puts the price of just under 1,400 euros into perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The battery connection should be as short as possible at 95 mm<sup>2<\/sup> Battery cables (Hi-Flex cable) implemented and with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/gp\/product\/B07QF1TMGF\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maxi fuse<\/a> (when using the Lynx distributor system) of 400A, according to the data sheet, must be fused to ensure inverter operation - However, on INTEL-based Mac OS computers, Windows 10 can be installed using Parallels and the interface can be used after driver installation (and subsequent live update of the driver). Driver installation under Windows via Parallels on Apple M1\/M2 platforms is currently not supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The necessary configuration is usually limited to defining the connected batteries (e.g. LiFePo4) and their charging and capacity parameters.
