Teltonika is a manufacturer of industrial routers. The RUT50X version is the first 5G-capable router and offers, among other things, two SIM card slots, GPS functionality, auto failover, backup WAN, and allows configuration as a client, access point, mesh or multi access point. The data sheet is here available.
Since the router has a total of seven antenna ports, four for LTE, two for WLAN and one for GPS, it makes sense to shortlist combination antennas that can serve all ports at the same time.
Another Teltonika feature, albeit a paid one, is the RMS, the possibility of permanent GPS tracking and global remote administration of the router thanks to the integrated VPN connection to the Teltonika server.
Suitable antenna types
It should be noted that some antennas are not suitable for parallel operation with two SIM cards due to the limited space in a single housing, such as the LGMDM4-7-38-24-58, which can be used with two SIM cards at the same time Balancing realized.
This can be remedied by using two antennas of the same type, such as the LGAM-7-27-24-58, which are mounted a little apart, usually one antenna length. With the second, the WLAN and GPS outputs remain unconnected; only the two LTE antenna cables are connected to the remaining two LTE ports on the router. Connection cables are 3 m long and should be sufficient for every mounting position. The data sheet can here be called.
This solution is more cost-effective with the same performance characteristics, and you also have the option of using only one WLAN connection for the respective antenna in order to achieve better reception quality due to the different installation locations, on the other hand, in the event of a defect to avoid each other antenna. The same applies to the built-in GPS module.
All antennas mentioned have their own metal base, which is why they are equally suitable for both aluminum roofs and GRP structures.
alternative
An alternative to this Internet procurement solution is to use Starlink.
